DNS2Go and PC Anywhere (version 8/9)

On the Host computer

  1. Open PC Anywhere and click Add Be A Host PC Item
  2. In the dialog box, enter a name for the connection (this can be any name you choose)
  3. Click Next
  4. Use the drop down box and select TCP/IP as the connection device
  5. Click Next
  6. Deselect the automatically launch after wizard check box
  7. Click Finish
  8. Next you'll need to set security so only specific users can access the computer. Right click the DNS2Go host PC icon and choose Properties
  9. Click the Callers tab
  10. Choose the radio button for Individual Callers
  11. Double click Add Caller, fill out the appropriate information
  12. Close PC Anywhere
  13. Connect to the Internet
  14. Connect DNS2Go
  15. Open PC Anywhere
  16. Click the Be A Host PC icon
  17. Double click the DNS2Go host session you've just created.
On a remote client computer
  1. From the PC Anywhere manager, click the Remote Control icon.
  2. Double click Add Remote Control Item
  3. Enter a name for the Remote Connection Item. This can be any name you choose
  4. Choose TCP/IP as the connection device
  5. Enter the exact name of the computer you'd like to connect to (e.g. domain.d2g.com)
  6. Deselect automatically launch after wizard
  7. To run your host from a remote location, simply connect the remote computer to the Internet, run PC Anywhere, and select the DNS2Go remote session you've just created
