Migrate to IceWarp Server
New customers interested in VisNetic MailServer can purchase IceWarp Mail Server from Deerfield.com, and by doing so they will receive the same interface and feature set that they are seeking in VisNetic. Existing VisNetic MailServer customers with expired upgrade protection are eligible to convert their VisNetic MailServer key to an IceWarp Mail Server key, then renew their IceWarp Upgrade Protection and migrate to the latest version of IceWarp Mail Server. Customers can start by converting their key following the first 3 steps in the following knowledgebase article. Renew their subscription online. Then migrate to IceWarp Mail Server following these instructions. This change is intended primarily to satisfy the needs of existing VisNetic MailServer users. Under Deerfield’s previous OEM agreement with IceWarp Technologies, when IceWarp released a new version of IceWarp Mail Server, IceWarp and Deerfield would then develop a separate, rebranded build of VisNetic MailServer. This time differential between releases of IceWarp Mail Server and VisNetic MailServer was originally intended to be a benefit to Deerfield.com customers, as it allowed IceWarp to address any outstanding issues in their IceWarp release before rebranding it VisNetic MailServer. This is no longer an issue due to IceWarp’s improved Beta programs and Quality Assurance testing, which is more inline with Deerfield’s release parameters. Migrating to IceWarp Mail Server provides customers with direct access to the latest improvements, fixes and features. Additionally, this new partnership allows Deerfield.com to work alongside IceWarp to promote and support IceWarp Mail Server. Yes, you can continue to utilize the VisNetic AntiVirus Plug-in with IceWarp server until your current subscription expires. When you renew your AntiVirus subscription, you must switch to using the Avast AntiVirus integrated in the IceWarp server. Instructions outlining the process of switching from VisNetic AntiVirus Plug-in to Avast are included here. In order to continue to utilize the VisNetic AntiVirus Plug-in with IceWarp server, you must have at least version 4.6.1.6 of the VisNetic Antivirus Plug-in installed. The version number is located in the title bar of the scheduler updater. You can open the scheduler updater by double clicking the VisNetic AntiVirus tray icon. Detailed instructions on moving an existing VisNetic MailServer installation to another computer are found in the following Knowledgebase Article. VisNetic MailServer installations may be moved a maximum of 4 times. Yes. We have no plans to discontinue support for VisNetic MailServer. Support contracts will continue to be available for purchase as well as all existing free support options available from Deerfield.com. VisNetic MailServer customers are however encouraged to migrate, and remain current with IceWarp Mail Server. Existing VisNetic MailServer Priority Support Contracts are valid for IceWarp Mail Server available from Deerfield.com. Priority support is available for the duration of the contract. All versions of VisNetic MailServer remain available from the VisNetic MailServer Archive. Download archived versions of VisNetic MailServer. IceWarp Mail Server may be dowloaded Here You are strongly encouraged to migrate from VisNetic MailServer to IceWarp MailServer to benefit from the new features, updates and improvements, but you may also continue to run your existing VisNetic MailServer version indefinitely if you choose. However, please be aware that there will be no future releases or improvements made to VisNetic MailServer. The last release of VisNetic MailServer, that we will continue to make available for download, is 9.3.2. Learn more about IceWarp Mail Server. If your VisNetic MailServer Upgrade Protection is current you are strongly encouraged to migrate to IceWarp Mail Server by following the instructions below: 1. Convert your VisNetic MailServer license to an Icewarp license by following the instructions in the following Knowledgebase Article. 2. Migrate your mail server software from VisNetic to IceWarp by following these instructions. If your VisNetic MailServer Upgrade Protection is expired we suggest following these instructions: 1. Convert your VisNetic MailServer license to an IceWarp license by following steps 1-3 in the following Knowledgebase Article. 2. Renew your subscription 3.
